In reaction to ShareMes log about mothersday. Maybe some tips for all you people with parents :)
My mother started complaining about ten years ago that on mothersday she always had to do stuff, like making coffee, having cake, having something to eat, just because the kids came to visit her. It was becoming an obligation instead of something chearfull and greatfull. My sister, who always has great ideas : She proposed to have a parentsday. So skip mothers and fathers day, just take the parents out for a day or weekend and take care of everything (driving them around, finding another zoo with monkeys (my mom loves them..), go to disneyland, etc,etc).
Just like your parents did for you when you were a kid, they had to figure out what to do when you are bored, have to find a nice place to spend the holidays.
This year it is my turn to think up something nice for my parents. I wonder if there is a place we didn't go to yet.. sigh..
So celebrate parentsday instead of mothers and fathers day, the parents love that :)
its going to cost me bigtime this year : one girlfriend, me and her 2 kids..
